St. Gregory's School will be hosting the Annual Bible Reading Competition again this year on the morning of Saturday 19th May.
Children from Reception to Year 6 are eligible to attend. It is free to enter.
The children are given a short passage of scripture (suitable for their age-range) to practise a few weeks before the event and they will read it aloud to judges in small groups with children of the same age-category from other local primary schools. Every child that participates receives a certificate and small prize. First, second and third winners in each age-group all receive a book prize.
