Nursery Class has adopted the Gospel value & virtue of 'happiness' and 'beauty'.
Happiness - Ephesians 6:2-3
The commandment that ends with a promise is: Honour your father and your mother so that you may live a happy life.
St. Paul reminds us, in his letter to the Ephesians, that those who honour their father and their mother will have a happy life.
Beauty - Psalm 8:3-4
When I look up at the heavens, the moon and the stars you set firm - what are we that you think of us: we are so small, yet you care for us.
Think about the world around us. Notice the beauty of the trees and the flowers, of all the different people and animals. Look up at the sky and the clouds: the sun in the daytime and the moon and stars at night.
Nursery Class have adopted the British Value of 'Friendship'.
Throughout the Nursery year, we will be learning to become good friends.
Enjoying PE!
This half term we have been learning about growth and change
We have been finding out about the seasons, growing plants, and how animals grow and change. We were able to explore this further though The Living Eggs experience! Over a two week period the children were able to observe chicks as they hatched and help to care for them. This was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about new life during spring time. We will continue our topic by exploring food and farming and how we continue to grow and change!
Last half term we explored the topic of dinosaurs!
Throughout the topic, the children learnt vocabulary to talk about dinosaurs and developed their understanding of chronology over time as we talked about past and present, making links to previous learning. We are also enjoyed using our dinosaur theme within our number, fine motor and role play!
Fine motor and maths play!
Exploring Autumn!
Stay and Read!
We enjoyed having our families join us to share some of our favourite stories and a love of reading!
