PAST EVENTS...Thank you to everyone for your support.
From Monday 9th March (for two weeks during Lent), we are raising funds for The Good Shepherd Appeal.
The children from Year 2 - Year 6 will be holding raffles and selling fairy cakes during each morning playtime.
Please can your child bring in a little pocket money each day (20p each day is enough to buy a cake).
It would be helpful if your child had a small coin-purse to keep in their book bag to contain their money.
On Wednesday 11th March, we are having a ‘Bling Your Bike Day’.
The children are asked to travel to school by bike or scooter for three days (11th, 12th & 13th March) as part of a national ‘The Big Pedal’ event.
We will be keeping note of how many children take part each day. We get 2 points for every child and 1 point for every parent who takes part.
All data is submitted to a national website and winners will receive prizes.
To kick start the event, we are having a ‘bling your bike’ competition on Wednesday 11th March.
Mary Kelland, our ‘Bike It’ Officer will be coming to judge the winners from every class.
Let your child decorate their bike or scooter with as much ‘bling’ as you dare! You can use anything that looks cool and sparkly!
On Friday 13th March, we are having a special Mother’s Day Assembly in the School Hall at 9.15am.
All Mums, Nans/Grandmas and Aunties are very welcome to come along and hear the children say a few poems and sing some songs to show how much they are loved.
On Thursday 2nd April, we will be having our Annual Talent Show to raise money for ‘Project Peru’.
Although most of Reception class enjoy watching in the audience, there are some children who like to perform. If your child has a particular talent they would like to share on stage in front of the whole school, please let me know.
The show is for children and staff only as there is not enough room in the School Hall to accommodate parents too.
Reminder - The Reception Trip to ‘Legoland Discovery Centre’ in Manchester will take place on Tuesday 17th March.
Children need to wear their school uniform and bring a packed lunch (in a labelled plastic bag - all items to be disposable).
They will not require any money as we will not be visiting the shop. Back in class after the visit, the children will be basing their writing & construction on their experiences of the trip.
