"Stay and Read"

Spring term!

This half term we have been busy exploring Winter. We began our topic by talking about what we already knew about winter weather and how to dress for cold weather. We continued with a walk to look for signs of winter and changes within our environment.

We noticed that there is less food for the birds during this time of year, so we recycled our milk bottles and used them to make bird feeders.

We talked about how exercise can help to keep us warm and contribute to looking after our bodies and enjoyed a morning of Yoga!

We completed our topic with an ice investigation. The children were encouraged to talk about appearance, texture and change through freezing and melting.
