  • World Book Day

    Thu 05 Mar 2020 AMc

We will be celebrating our love of books on World Book Day on Thursday 5th March.

Children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 can come to school, dressed in the pyjamas for the day. Please can they wear their outdoor shoes as they will be playing on the playground at breaktimes. (Don't forget to bring your favourite book to talk about to the class and to share with your friends!)

Pupils in Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 have been asked to create a 'book in a jar' (Please see the latest bulletin for ideas). Years 3 & 4 have been asked to bring these in on Friday 6th March.

  • Smarties Challenge!

    Mon 02 Mar 2020 AMc

We are supporting St. Joseph's Hospice by raising much-needed funds in their 'Smartie challenge'.

Your child will have brought home a tube of Smarties to enjoy. Please help your child to fill the tube with 20p and £1 coins which we can donate to our local St. Joseph's Hospice in Thornton. Please send your Smarties tube back into school when it is full of coins.

St Joseph’s Hospice cares for and supports people affected by serious illness. They try to improve the quality of life for people with life-limiting conditions and help them live life to the full, to the very end. Supporting families and carers is also an important part of what they do.

Maybe encourage your child to 'earn' their money by completing helpful chores around the house.
