  Today we welcomed all our new pupils and families to the community of St. Gregory's School.

  Each Reception child was welcomed by their Year 6 buddy and other new pupils were welcomed by their new friends. The Reception children showed their first portraits and sang songs. Year 1 and 2 children sang a song to welcome their new school mates. Father Grant blessed everyone and welcomed everyone to parish of St. Gregory's

  

• Annual Sponsored Walk this Friday!

  We are holding our Annual Sponsored walk this Friday afternoon to raise much-needed funds for our school to buy essential equipment for each class.

  The children will have an energetic afternoon walking or jogging laps of the school field (weather permitting) to help raise funds.

  The children can wear trainers (or wellies if the grass is wet!) rather than spoil their new school shoes.

  Water will be provided for our younger children. Older pupils can bring their own water bottles.

  Please support this event generously! Thank you.

• We have the smartest school children!

  The children look very smart in their St. Gregory's uniform as they begin the new school year.

  Please ensure your child has their name clearly labelled on every item of their uniform so that if something  is misplaced, we can easily return it to the rightful owner! Thank you.

• Parents on the playground

  We would be grateful if parents could please remain by the perimeter fence and let their child walk down the path onto the playground in the mornings.

  Reception parents are allowed to come onto the playground this week to help their child settle.

  Mrs Albon, Mrs McDonnell & Mrs Groves will be ready to greet the children as they come onto the playground in the mornings before the children line up at 8.55am.
