  • Quality Mark Awarded to school

    Sun 09 Nov 2014

We are delighted to inform you that we have achieved the Early Years Quality Mark award for our Nursery and Reception classes.
The assessor was most impressed with the high quality provision we provide for the young children in our school.

She spent a day at the school interviewing the Nursery and Reception teachers and teaching assistants, Foundation Stage Governor, Headteacher, Year 6 buddies, breakfast club staff and some parents. She also observed literacy lessons in both classes.

She wrote "Writing standards across the Foundation stage are high and teaching strategies in both classes were exemplary."

"It was a privilege to make this assessment and everyone can feel proud of the contribution they make to this exceedingly high quality provision."

To see the whole report, just ask Mrs McDonnell or Miss Yallop.
