Our School Council members were all geared up to doing a spot of litter picking along the canal towpath from Lollie's bridge to Pygon's hill bridge in Lydiate.
Eight other primary schools in MADCOS joined in with litter picking along their prescribed section of canal.
The Pride of Sefton canal barge was also booked to take the children on a little ride along the canal.
The sun shone and the little ducklings were swimming around!
All the children had received safety talks from The Canal and Rivers Trust volunteers about staying safe near the canal.
