School Trips

School Trips 2018 / 2019

Friday 2nd November 2018 Children in Year 2 and Year 3 will be attending The Atkinson Theatre, Southport on Friday 2nd November 2018 to watch Mark Thompson’s Spectacular Science Show. Mark Thompson is a TV astronomer and author, who has been enthralling audiences for over 20 years with his spectacular jaunts around the universe. This show explores the magical properties of matter with exploding elephant’s toothpaste, vortex generating dustbins, dancing paste, vanishing beakers and even exploding Pringles tubes. The coach will be leaving school at 11.30am and will return back to school for normal school finish time. Children will be having their lunch at school before we leave for the theatre.

 

Wednesday 10th October 2018 Children in Year 1 will be visiting Imagine That! in Liverpool on Wednesday 10th October 2018. The children will experience many different activities which include role play, construction, art & craft and also a very exciting Science lesson!The coach will be leaving school at 9.10am and will return for normal school finish time. Children can wear their school uniform for this trip and must bring a packed lunch.

 

Tuesday 9th October 2018 - Children from Year 4 will be visiting Cadbury’s World, Birmingham on Tuesday 9th October. During the tour of Cadbury’s, Year 4 will be receiving an interactive educational talk on The Maya, discovering fascinating facts about ancient civilisation and the Mayan peoples’ involvement in the early history of cocoa in c. AD 900.The coach will be leaving school at 7.45am and we aim to be back to school at approximately 4.30pm, but will keep you updated on the day via our school app.Children are to wear their full school uniform for this trip and bring a packed lunch. Children can also bring spending money for the shop on site, no more than £10.00 please and it will be your child’s responsibility for the safe keeping of their money.

 

Thursday 4th October 2018 - Year 6 will be visiting Quarry Bank Mill. Children are to dress in clothing relating to life as a Victorian Child. They will be accessing many different activities and workshops. The coach will leave school at 8am and will aim to return for normal school finish time. Packed lunch is required.
